Mindful Monday: Taking People For Granted

It is easy to get caught up in the normal day-to-day of life.  When you get used to things, you begin to expect them.  When you are more preoccupied with your life, you forget to take notice of others. Too often we say simple phrases like Good Morning, Thank You and Your Welcome — out of common courtesy, and because we have “manners”.

This week when someone says Good Morning to you, don’t just mumble it back, say it like you truly want to wish them a Good Morning.  If you are truly thankful for someones services to you, say it with a smile and enthusiasm in your voice.

If you want to take it a step further, when some asks how you are — reply with the same question after you answer.  Most people say this phrase as a statement, as opposed to a question — and they most certainly do not expect you to care enough to ask how they are doing as well 🙂
